ENDORSED BY THE MINISTRY OF ECONOMY AND ENERGY OF THE REPUBLIC OF BULGARIA:

Ministerial Address from
H.E. Rumen Ovcharov,
Minister of Economy and Energy,
Republic of Bulgaria

“Ladies and Gentlemen,

 Dear Colleagues,

It is my pleasure in my quality as Minister of Economy and Energy of the Republic of Bulgaria to welcome the Fourth Annual Energy Conference  organized by EastEuro Link, ‘Energy Markets in Central and Southeastern Europe: Driving Change, Determining the Future’, which will take place in Sofia, 25-26 September 2006. Meetings of this kind are useful not only for the participants but also for definition of the governmental policies in the sector, for deciding the trends of the business development as well.

With the region proving one of the most exciting emerging markets in the energy sector, following a series of ambitious economic reforms, which actively encourage the entrance of foreign players into these energy markets, this conference is, once again, bound to be a great event for all those interested in the power and gas markets of Central and Southeastern Europe.

This year’s event aims to be a guide of this rapidly developing sector, introducing the latest trends in energy regulations and focusing comprehensively on practical real life examples.

I’m wishing you successful work during the conference in Sofia on 25-26 September 2006.”

Rumen Ovcharov,
Minister of Economy and Energy
Republic of Bulgaria
